Academia Nexus operates in three distinct capacities:
A centralized multi-category nationwide educational directory (academia.ac.pk).
A Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) website builder providing institutional subdomains (academia.pk).
A managed cloud hosting and dedicated domain mapping infrastructure provider for educational entities.
All content hosted on the directory, subdomains, or dedicated client domains is for general informational and administrative purposes.
The listing, hosting, or technical enablement of any school, college, university, or training academy does not constitute an endorsement, accreditation, or certification of that institute by Academia Nexus.
(a) Academic & Admission Outcomes:
Academia Nexus is not liable for admission rejections, curriculum changes, or the quality of education delivered by hosted institutes.
(b) Financial Bilateralism:
All fee collections, tuition structures, and monetary transactions occur directly between the educational institute and the parent/student. Academia Nexus acts purely as a technical conduit and is explicitly excluded from any financial disputes, refund claims, or transaction failures.
(c) Hosting Operational Risks:
While we maintain redundant server architectures, Academia Nexus offers no guarantees of uninterrupted 100% uptime. We accept no liability for lost institutional revenue, missed admission deadlines, or data corruption resulting from server outages, upstream network failures, or scheduled maintenance.
To provision a directory profile, subdomain (*.academia.pk), or connect a dedicated domain, the applicant must be an authorized representative of the educational institution. Academia Nexus reserves the right to request official regulatory documentation—such as registration certificates from provincial education departments, PEIRA, the Higher Education Commission (HEC), or relevant technical boards—prior to service activation.
)a) Domain Ownership:
When an institute utilizes our dedicated domain mapping services, the institute remains the sole legal owner of its custom domain name (e.g., www.institute.edu.pk).
The institute is responsible for its renewal, DNS management, and associated registration costs.
(b) Prohibited Infrastructure Use:
The hosting space allocated by Academia Nexus must be used exclusively for legitimate institutional operations, student portals, and academic content. Utilizing the allocated cloud space for bulk email spamming, file-sharing mirrors, crypto-mining, or external data storage is strictly prohibited and will result in immediate suspension.
All hosted websites—whether on our subdomains or dedicated domains mapped to our network—must strictly adhere to the guidelines of the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) and the Prevention of Electronic Crimes Act (PECA), 2016.Zero-
(a) Tolerance Material:
The storage or dissemination of copyright-infringing materials (e.g., pirated textbooks or software), blasphemous content, hate speech, or text/media compromising national security is fundamentally banned.
(b) Intermediary Indemnity:
In accordance with Pakistani law, Academia Nexus acts as a network intermediary. Content published on individual subdomains or mapped domains is generated solely by the respective institute.
The institute agrees to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Academia Nexus against all third-party legal actions, lawsuits, or financial penalties stemming from content hosted on their web space.
Upon receiving a formal compliance notice from the PTA, a court order, or a verified Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) / Intellectual Property Organization (IPO) Pakistan violation notice regarding a hosted domain or subdomain, Academia Nexus will act decisively:
(a) Immediate Suspension:
The targeted website or subdomain will be placed into a suspension state within twenty-four (24) hours of notice verification.
(b) Cure Period:
The hosting institute will be granted a maximum of seven (7) business days to purge the offending content and verify compliance before permanent contract termination is executed.
The Directory (academia.ac.pk): Academia Nexus acts as the Data Controller for general user accounts created by parents, students, and visitors on the main directory platform.
Hosted & Dedicated Sites (academia.pk & Mapped Domains): When an institute builds its website or runs its portals on our infrastructure, the individual educational institute acts as the primary Data Controller for all student registrations, grading sheets, and parent profiles collected there.
Academia Nexus Pakistan acts strictly as a Data Processor, providing secure database isolation and storage infrastructure.
Given the heavy involvement of school and college students under the age of 18, the following data protocols are mandatory across our network:
(a) Obfuscation of Sensitive Fields:
Contact directories, home addresses, and private mobile numbers of minor students must be programmatically hidden from public view on all templates.
(b) Account Access:
Portals dealing with minors must feature secondary parental/guardian account access parameters to monitor student activity safely.
(a) Encryption Standards:
All network routes, including mapped dedicated domains, must enforce HTTPS protocols utilizing modern SSL/TLS encryption.
(b) Data Isolation:
Databases for individual institutes are strictly logical-isolated to prevent cross-contamination or unauthorized access between competing academies.
(c) Breach Notification:
In the event of a detected server-level cyber security breach, Academia Nexus Pakistan will notify the affected institutional administrators within forty-eight (48) hours, providing detailed diagnostics to allow the institutes to alert their respective student and parent bodies.
All premium directory listings, subdomain configurations, and dedicated hosting packages are billed on a recurring monthly or annual cycles.
Domain acquisition, dedicated SSL provisioning, and initial server architecture setup fees are completely non-refundable once deployment has commenced.
Invoices are issued fifteen (15) days prior to the renewal date.
If payment is not cleared by the due date, access to the website builder backend will be locked. If the invoice remains unpaid for thirty (30) days past the due date, the hosted subdomain or dedicated domain mapping will be automatically suspended from the live web.
Data will be completely purged from our backup servers after ninety (90) days of continuous non-payment.
